Once upon a time there lived in a pretty cottage on the borders of a great forest a sweet girl, favorite with every one. The sun was shining brightly but it was not too warm under the shade of the old trees and she went on her way singing and gathering great bunches of wild flowers. She sang so sweetly that a nearby dove flew down from his tree and followed her.
