Vorige week dinsdag zag ik zijn beeld in museum Boijmans van Beuningen, dacht 'wat ongelooflijk flauw en slecht is dit eigenlijk' en nam me voor er hier een stukje over te schrijven - maar vandaag haalde de actualiteit me in:

"The Genoa-born artist Vanessa Beecroft - best known for her disturbing installations of living, almost nude, models - said she had had an affair with Cattelan before either became famous and that she was the source for many of his ideas. (...) Asked how the affair ended, Beecroft was quoted as replying: "It ended with there being a lot of rivalry between us. Every time that I tell him something, he turns it into reality."
